Back On The Road...

0915 - 1120 Overcast, occasionally bright, cold N f3-4

A few days off for a bit of sickness and gagging to get back on site yesterday...hence the rain!!

So...with it being dry today a full walk round was required....and I believe in record time....

Warbler count:

Chiffchaff 35

....and no Cettis....and nothing else....although this is the biggest count of the season so far for Chiffchaffs.....so some birds must still be moving despite the interesting weather change over the past few days.....

4 Fieldfare were struggling to fly north and came to rest in a tree overhead providing nice...if somewhat late....views....nice to see though its hard to say if I will be seeing any more before next winter....safe journey...!

21 Shovelers, 6 Pochard and 1 Gadwall were on the water along with 4 Goldeneye, now 2 pairs....and a pair of Mandarin Ducks.....

Bird of the day....1 Green Sandpiper initially seen flying away from middle pit and relocated on west pit in the usual place, north beach....

Its nice to be back...
